I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It's a very lay back and not 'cookie cutter' type of coffee shop. It's definitely I would like to go back in the future ... relax with friends and/or do a little bit of work since they have free wifi. The only thing I wish they can change is to extend Sunday hours a little bit. Since they close at 3pm, it's simply not enough time to really enjoy a Sunday afternoon.

Coffee district is a super chill spot in Pinapple Grove just off Atlantic. We heard they had some good craft beers so stopped in to check it out. Now we've been twice and its just great. There's a coffee section with food (haven't tried any yet) and then a small bar for beers. The same girl helped us both times and she was super knowledgeable/helpful/sweet. Note: they also have wine if you want to switch it up. One of our favorite places to grab a relaxed drink in Delray.

Amazing beer selection. The coffee is an afterthought at best. Should be called craft beer district.

Its just so simple. A craft beer bar in a Starbucks like setting. No craziness. No douche bag owners. No nightclub transformation after midnight. The Coffee District wasn't developed to take advantage of the craft beer trend. It was developed to be a place for people to hangout, enjoy a great cup/glass of coffee/beer, and possibly enjoy some music and food too.

If you like Starbucks, but would rather give your money to an independent, then Coffee District will please. Nice decor, clean and comfortable - coffee is full of meh, pastries didn't even look good enough to try. Service was mumbly. Beers look good, I would try this place later in the day when it switches to that gear. Sliding Scale rating of Three Stars in spite of my reservations, due to what I am discovering is a paucity of qualified coffee in this state.

I am writing this review mostly to comment on the ambiance of coffee district. Someone else commented that this is the sort of place that is common in cities like New York, San Francisco, etc. That may be true with regards to the menu, but not with regards to the interior design. To me, the look and "feel" of a coffee shop is an integral part of why I am paying such a premium for a drink I could make at home for a fraction of the cost. I know this sounds snobbish, but the decor falls well short of an authentic Brooklyn coffee shop, which is what I was hoping for after reading the reviews (and after spending the last six months in China - where they only have Starbucks). On the plus side, the staff were nice and they seemed to have a great selection of drinks, both of the caffeinated variety and the alcoholic variety. Also it's nice that they're open late on the weekends. I would encourage the owner to spend some time in New York or Toronto - both cities full of interesting independent coffee shops. It should provide inspiration to take this place from good to great.

Delicious espresso, great atmosphere, and CRAFT BEER! What else does one need?

Great place to get out of the corporate setting and get some of the finest beers in the world. Not to mention their coffee which is better then starcrooks and cheaper too. They have great sandwiches and salads and my personal favorite with a IIPA, carrot cake. Go for Friday night karaoke, I promise, it's hilarious!

The ONLY coffee shop I go to in Delray Beach. This place is quite, calm, plays great music, and has great coffee.

Checked out Coffee District with some friends on a weekday night and had a great time. We were actually only going to see a local band perform there, but I really liked the chill and quiet atmosphere of the place. My friend and I shared some bottles of Double Bastard (an excellent and strong beer), and chips with fresh salsa and guacamole. We talked to the owner (cool guy) for a bit and he mentioned how they hold beer events and sometimes have rare and specialty beer in stock depending on the season. Friendly staff, nice service, and decent prices, Coffee District is perfect for that relaxing evening drink with friends and having a good time.

This is the best beer bar in Delray Beach by a long shot. Don't let the name fool you, Chung (the owner) is serious about beer and stocks some of the best beers available in our market. Not only has he expanded his always exciting draft offerings, but the bottle selections are always incredible. Often, some truly rare gems can be found on the list. If you are a lover of craft beer then Coffee District should definitely be pinging on your radar.

How disappointing that the owner cares more about the business traffic he thinks he SHOULD be getting instead of catering to the business he currently has. On a weeknight, three tables full of people of laptops or discussing business. Zero people at the bar (that he never allows to turn the volume up on, btw). This businessman refused a request to not dim the lights so much (it was night time) so we could see our computer keyboards and the notepads the meeting group were writing on. Sadly, but appropriately, meeting group left after one cup. I overheard them saying repeatedly "I can't see" and another suggested "Let's just go to Starbucks." And don't even ASK about the music choice! Even if you're the one and only person in here!... during lunchtime even. Not taking this one instance, I think the prices are not conducive to the lack of traffic they have coming in. Thank goodness this unfriendly, and unaware, owner hired such fun wait staff. Their hands are tied by his strict rules for a neighborhood cafe, but at least they are MUCH nicer about it.

coffee district is the perfect place for folks who want a good espresso or quality craft beer. they have weekly events (karaoke, open mic) along with special events that feature specialty breweries. I was able to check out the cigar city night. there was a fairly large turn out of people there to enjoy a good quality beer. no muss - no fuss. independent, chill, good coffee and and the best selection of beer in town for sure. can beat that , starbucks.

A significant change of pace from a Starbucks, this local coffee joint serves up a smorgasbord of beers ranging from microbrews both near and abroad. There brewed coffee is better than Starbucks, but I tried a mocha once and it wasn't worth the $4 price tag. I think people are so accustomed to forking out ludicrous amounts of cash for roasted bean juice that they forget a four dollar cup of coffee should be existential. But, there food is tasty and fresh. They have many activities going on here from Karaoke to open mics to poker nights. One massive improvement for places like this in my humble opinion. Serve fresh squeezed OJ. We live in Fla., enough of the Tropicana! And maybe find a better bagel supplier.

Love this place, I come here every time I visit Delray Beach. The coffee is great and the atmosphere is perfect for those seeking nice place to have a coffee and read or do some work on the computer. Best Toffee Nut Latte's too.

Chung is the man. Knows his beer, and is very accommodating in regards to any questions you may have. Plus the guy loves to play pool. But that's neither here nor there. The karaoke on friday nights is always entertaining, and the open mic sessions provide a great venue for performers. Long live CD! Dogfish Festina Peach on tap? check. Scaldis Noel? check. Oh, and i think they serve coffee and stuff...

This place is a beer lovers dream come true. A small coffee house that has over 100 types of craft and imported beer on bottle and about 6 on tap. I'm a bit of beer geek so I really only know what their beer selection is like. I don't drink wine or coffee. The staff including the owner are great. Extremely friendly and helpful. If you are interested in trying something new they will gladly help you based on your taste. The atmosphere is very relaxed, just like a coffee house would be. They have karaoke on Friday nights and open mic on Saturday nights. They do home brewing on Monday nights and just about any night you can just kick back and enjoy a brew, wine, coffee, sandwich or salad and have a good time here. You don't have to worry about the awkwardness some bars make you feel. If you are in downtown Delray it's worth a shot and I bet you will keep going back.

I love this place, the beer, coffee and staff are amazing! Do I need to say more? The beer selection is vast, over 100 bottles plus excellent seasonal draughts....nightly events like open mic, art and music make the atmosphere inticing.

Coffee District is a great all-occasion hangout. Akin to stopping by a good buddy's house to grab a beer, Coffee District is truly welcoming and its atmosphere gives a sense that you are never left out of whatever is going on. This is a bar where the focus is not on a tv or loud music, but on the people. Ask for Chung or Melinda and trust their beer reccomendations!

I'm giving this establishment 5 stars because they support the craft beer industry. Their coffee is fine and all, but I really like how they also have craft beer events. More of this in South Florida, please.

I came here for a craft beer social media outing, and I must say that I was very impressed. Coming from San Diego, I was hard hit when I first moved to south florida for a decent selection of craft beer, craft beer hangouts, etc. Coffee District is not a brewpub persay, I believe the classification we came up with yesterday is a pastry-pub. Instead of normal brewpub fare there is a coffee bar that serves espresso, cafe, etc, along with a decent selection of desserts. The carrot cake that was brought out had 7 layers and looked tasty. The beer: I didn't see a bud light insight, instead they offer a vast array of craft brews (8 taps??), and a cooler full of bottle selections. Belgians, local brew: Cigar CIty/Holy Mackerel, brews from across the U.S. The service is spectacular and were very well suited for our large group gathering, but on a normal night has the small cafe feel, plus bar area. If you're looking for craft beer and dessert, maybe a coffee...this is your place. Long live the Pastry Pub!!

Coffee District is my favorite coffee shop in South Florida. You might not go to Starbucks again after trying their vanilla or chocolate chai tea. It's a good place to get a specialty coffee, glass of wine or a craft beer. They also have events all the time with karaoke, open mic nights, or beer tastings so check their calendar if you're looking for a more low key night out.

Before coming here last week for the first time, I visited the Coffee District repeatedly in my dreams. This is the exact kind of place I imagine going to regularly: a coffee shop that doubles as a beer and wine bar and serves a few scrumptious delights. The lovely scent of coffee went incredibly well with the taste of hops and roasted barley as I sipped my beer. Fantastic beer selection, friendly staff. I wish for a Coffee District in my neighborhood.

I'm reviewing this place from the perspective of a beer lover. Coffee District is an oasis in an improving but still fairly barren beer landscape in South Florida. The taps are very well selected and they get many hard to find selections. If it is rare and is coming to South Florida it is likely they will have it. They have a killer bottle selection and it would be a mistake to simply view the draft menue without at least checking out the bottle list. Staff at the bar is very friendly but not really beer experts. They are learning and growing their knowledge, my impression is they are likely very good bar/wait staff but just not beer geeks. The place is immaculately clean and has a nice feel to is with couches and tables to sit back and relax on. Food is mixed and I would not select this place as a primary place to grab a meal. The food is ok if you are having a few beers and need to eat but I would love to see them pick up their game a bit on this front. Salads are ok but nothing special, the humus is good not great and the bacon, cheese press is a great novelty but not something I would eat regularly. Overall if you love craft beer and live in the Delray Beach area this should be a regular stop for you

Amazing selection of beers, lots of nice looking wines, and coffee bar. Something you expect in the NE or NW but great for us it's in delray in pineapple grove at the end.. Check it out. If you're a beer snob you'll love it.

A great little independent coffee shop/ beer pub. Good seating, tasty drinks made to order although their smoothies are way too sweet. Food is decent but nothing to write home about. Atmosphere and the drinks are what keep me coming back. An ideal place to curl up with your laptop or meet a friend for coffee.

This is the sorta place that trashes a Starbucks. Local coffee joint and wine bar. Locally owned. Just off the main drag of Atlantic avenue in Pineapple Grove section of Delray. Its where you see townies. Glad to seeing it doing well.

I've been coming here since it opened. The place is generally nice but the service is awful. It starts with the owners who have a don't care attitude. The "baristas" try to be hipsters but are pretty racist and ageist. Doofus!!! The only reason to go there versus at her places is the parking. The night time events are cool but again don't go if you're mentally or physically over 22

I don't sing - but I sure like to drink while I watch/record my friends "singing". I came here for Karaoke night so it might not be the same experience the day to day customers have but I'm pretty sure all these things remain the same: Great beer, great coffee and the best impulse buy: mini Toblerone bars! I was here with a fairly large group of friends. With most places it's all about the group you are with - it didn't seem as though there were that many folks not with our group - but then again this place isn't too big, so even if we hadn't been there I'm sure the folks that looked like "regulars" would still be a ton of fun. The music selections were varied - from Hip Hop to Pop - to classic rock. Good times. I stuck to beer all night and they had a really good variety of craft beers on tap - and a great bottle selection as well. The wife was having coffee and she loved it. I eventually got her to sip on a cider - I'm not much of a cider guy but this one was really great. Parking is simple - there's a lot right behind the shop - but that one will likely be packed. If you continue through the lot you will see another lot in the back. It's free to park back there and very well lit. Last but certainly not least - what awesome staff! They were taking orders, picking up glasses, when things spilled (and they did often lol) they were right on it! Always with a smile - and super friendly. I look forward to coming back on regular hours and checking out what kind of coffee house vibe they have - been meaning to get out to more places to crack open my laptop and work. OH and how could I forget - they have mini Toblerone (chocolate bars) right next to the register - and they are possibly THE BEST impulse buy ever. I don't mind forking over the 60 cents (or whatever they cost) for a nice sweet bite.

My wife and I stopped in for a couple Frapuccino's. This place was recommended by someone in the area, who said it was better than Starbucks. I ordered a mocha Frapuccino and my wife got one - I can't recall the exact name - that had a nutty buttery-ness to it. Hers was definitely better than mine. Their mocha tasted more like a weak chocolate milk. There was probably too much milk in the mix. It was rather disappointing. If I make it backup that way, I'll try something different, and see if I can perhaps give another star in my next review. But today's experience, our first visit ever, only warrants three stars at best.

For all the hype I expected more. Honestly, it's incredibly overrated. They serve mediocre coffee and overroasted beans to try to mask the subpar flavor. You might just be better off at Starbucks. Their prices may be more reasonable too.

This place has a very nice ambience and is conveniently located in Delray. It's not the place to go if you actually care about coffee. If you are the type of person who prefers chocolate and raspberry snicker doodle coffee with was shot of pumpkin spice then it's maybe a different story. One the two regulars being brewed today was hazelnut cream. I got the regular, a medium-dark roast coffee that taste like ash and was very bitter. They have a really nice selection of craft beers and some nice looking good items. I would go back but not for the coffee. Unfortunately I don't have a good alternative to recommend in Delray.

As often as I go to Delray Beach, and as often as I usually try many intimate places some distance off Atlantic Avenue, which there are many, I must sincerely thank Marisol for planning this great night at a NEW place I never tried but seemed to be the typical intimate, casual and chill place to hang out in Delray. Not typical with any similarities to other places, but typical in the "style of Delray" that is offered in so many places. And Marisol picked a fun way to make a great first impression of Coffee District; Friday night Karaoke!!! Coffee district is really something different in that it offers everything to everybody different times of the day. It is a great superb coffee house that I would frequent if I lived in Delray, with so many coffee, espresso and tea variations. At the same counter, they serve sandwiches, paninis, soups and desserts. The crazy thing that makes this different, is that it has a fairly large bar within this coffee shop that serves a small variety of wines, and exceptional craft beers which have never tasted so good. They have a whole display of their unusual craft beers which would entice any beer drinker to chose something different and enjoy it with one of their great sandwiches or even their gourmet desserts. The atmosphere is casual and inviting as you enter, and the staff is really lose and there to just let you have a good time. We got to Coffee District a little early and ordered a California Panini to share and a couple glasses of wine. It did not take long for us to figure out that the mood was picking up as more of our great Yelp friends were arriving,, thus THE BOTTLE was ordered. Great price for a nice bottle of Rosenblum Cabernet. Marisol had tables reserved for us if we needed to sit and talk, eat and drink, but quickly as the night went on, it was clear that we all had too good of a time to just sit and drink; time to get our chance to do what we all do best: SING!!!! The Karaoke had begun. There was a lot of talent between us, and as the night went on, there was even MORE talent. The Karaoke was well organized and everyone got their chance to show what they are made of. What was so great, was that their was a special surprise appearance: THE SPICE GIRLS. I thought they broke up, but there they were, all sharing the microphones blasting out a song they never wrote, a Whitney Houston song. Go figure. I really loved watching them have so much fun. The Karaoke area was perfect for all he Spice Girls and for several duets and single vocalists. As the night went on, the songs kept coming, and all of different genres and from different times. What I thought was so great was the diversity of ages between all of the Yelp BPB people and therefore the different types of music people chose. And we all cheered each other on,, even if we were off key,,,like who cared??? It was only US. I must say that if there was any night that showed how special the Yelp BPB people are, it was this one. This was not a "sit down" dinner, a food event, but an event that showed the diversity of Yelp BPB that can all have a good time together in what could be for others an uncomfortable thing to do: sing in front of others. Yes the alcohol helps, but we all clearly wanted to spend a great time together on a fun Friday night, singing, talking and laughing. Marisol, thank you for giving me another perspective of what we are all about. This was something really different. We will go back on another Friday night, but it would never be the same, unless of course you plan another event like this.

Well, huge thanks to Marisol F. for putting together a fantastic UYE here for us to experience karaoke on a Friday night. Karaoke started promptly at 8pm and ended when Coffee District kicked us out at 8pm. So here's the thing....coffee is not my thing, and although I enjoy a nice tea and deli style food, I wouldn't be coming out of my way from Fort Lauderdale to Coffee District - but if I lived in Delray I would be all over this place, because the prices are great and the atmosphere is nice. Here's the other thing.... it's also a bar!! Ok, so you still have that deli feel to the atmosphere, but they do have craft beers and wines. And wines are cheap!! I'm talking like $20 a bottle cheap, so boy did we have fun lol. And here's the last thing...I've done karaoke before. The last time we were in the mix with some professionals, and although we had an amazing time, I still felt as though those professionals weren't loving my Spice Girls act. This time however the other singers were great, but I didn't feel as though the vibe was as pretentious and they were actually loving watching me make a fool of myself. So yes...this is a perfect spot to drink some wine with friends and have a few laughs while singing your heart out! The karaoke system was different from what I've seen in the past, but still very easy to set up an account and pick your song. I wonder if my account some how has a score associated with how well I did? LOL hmmm maybe I'm pulling some rank on a karaoke list somewhere ;) I did get hungry part of the way through my fabulous singing (I believe they stop serving food around 10pm) and ordered a caprese salad. The caprese portion (mozz and tomatoes) came over iceberg lettuce and with a balsamic drizzle that was heaven. For less than $7 this was perfect! The staff was great and did a good job handling our massive group! Can't wait to come back and sing again!

Can I review a Coffee shop without actually tasting the coffee?? Yes. Yes, I can. There is totally more to CD than the coffee. Mostly beer and karaoke, which are two of my favorite things ever. The CD beer selection is off the chain. Ok, maybe *I* was off the chain... Green Bench on tap- I'm talking to you. The beer selection at CD was pretty impressive both times, I've been to this little spot. Totally unassuming from the street and really just looks like a casual little coffee cafe. However, the two bars serving up yummy brews and a nice bottle selection say otherwise. I have to give props to whoever is making the beer selections- keep up the great work! On Friday nights they have karaoke and recently our own Marisol was host to an amazing karaoke UYE. The Karaoke DJ (KJ) is pretty chill and gives everyone a fair chance to get their songs in, but it does get pretty packed here on a Friday. Not packed like one of the crazy bars on Atlantic, but packed as in the tables get full and folks are definitely there to sing karaoke. I had never seen the use of a computer to input you songs, but it's pretty cool, because there no yelling back and forth to the KJ while he's trying to keep the songs rolling on. Of course, there's your standard set of CD karaoke regulars and they were quite entertaining. Plus we had our own crew of singing Yelpers to add to the mix and of course that made it a super fun night. CD is a great place to grab a couple of beers and chill out if you don't feel like heading to a bar. Or maybe your awesome Designated Driver just wants some delicious coffee while you sip your brews. Or maybe you just want to see what they have on tap, I promise it will be something pretty great.

Sometimes (acutally probably a lot of times) the company you have at an establishment and the amount you enjoy yourself weigh heavily on your opinion and hence your Yelp review. Given that I don't drink coffee this is probably one of those cases. Marisol F. was so kind as to set up a UYE event on a Friday evening at Coffee District. Sounds weird I know, who wants to go to a place called Coffee District on a Friday night? But here's the thing, they have karaoke! I was still skeptical. I read the reviews mentioning an impressive beer offering, but these days I'm not much of a beer drinker...most people say you grow into the taste of beer, I seem to have grown out of it. Not to worry though, Coffee District also serves wine! They have house wines of all the main varieties, for example, they have Pinot Noir, but don't come in looking for a specific one. I arrived around 8 to a friendly group of Yelpers and headed up to the bar...yes they have a bar, in a coffee shop. There is also a register where you can order coffee, they have a few salads and sandwiches, and some pastry items. I got my bottle of wine and settled in for karaoke. I was happy that it wasn't too crowded. There were obviously a few karaoke regulars who put on a great show, but when we wanted to get up there (and let's be honest, make a mockery of the art of karaoke), there wasn't much of a wait. As the night wore on we got sillier, and somehow with all the dancing around to the karaoke songs, I spilled red wine on my beige shirt. The staff was super helpful getting me some club soda and making me look somewhat presentable again. At that point I decided that perhaps it was a sign that I should get something to eat. I ordered a croissant, and was impressed to find that despite the fact that it was the end of the day, the croissant was fresh and delicious, and quite large. Coffee District is a little far from me being up in Delray, and since I don't even drink coffee I doubt I will ever experience it as a morning coffee shop, but I would go back for kareoke in a heartbeat. We had an amazing time, the staff was friendly, and I didn't spend a fortune....UYE round two?

I want to really like Coffee District. It's got great atmosphere, but it just isn't quite there for me. The coffee is just eh. And I prefer a coffee shop with more activity. Some bustling of people going in and out. The espresso machine constantly going. Coffee District just seems kind of dead. The coffee is pretty mediocre, and the staff is just OK. I still go in from time to time, but it's not my favorite. I just wish I could find a great go-to coffee shop in the area. Coffee District, unfortunately, isn't it.

Passed this place about a month ago and thought it looked like a spot I'd like to stop in to and then proceeded to forget about it until last Saturday, SO glad I finally made it in....very cool décor, both tables and comfy spots to sit as well....free wifi and delicious offerings! I had a toasted nut frap that tasted like fall up north!! total yum! ....returned again on Tuesday for the "brew of the day" and once again, very pleased! Really friendly staff and just a hip vibe. They also serve a wide variety of craft beers and wine so don't let the name keep you away if you aren't a coffee lover. It's a neighborhood gem - feels much more urban which is welcome to me! I'm definitely a new fan!!

A few years ago I found Panther Coffee in Wynwood (Miami) during Second Saturday Art Walk and immediately after that I kept trying to find a good coffee shop in Boca Raton/Delray Beach area. Not that I don't like Starbucks but I wanted better. My guy was always on the search for good beer places and he told me about this place called Coffee District. He said he didn't know what it was because the name Coffee District makes you think coffee shop but every "best beer places" lists have Coffee District on it. So I decided to give it a try one day when I was in the area (a few blocks from Atlantic Avenue). The menu was simple but still had a great selection to choose from and I ended up getting a Vanilla Chai Latte with almond milk. Sooo Yummy! And those lists that kept saying how impressive their beer selection is where so right. The bottle list has tons of common craft beers but is also loaded with some really good beers and some hard to get beers too. And the list of beers on tap is really impressive too. And if that wasn't enough beer already, they have plenty of bottles on their shelves that you can get to go as well. A couple weeks later (on a Friday night) I was out with Glenn and we finished dinner around the corner from here and I suggested coming here because I KNOW he is going to love the beer selections. When we arrived, the place was really busy and I learned that every Friday night they host Karaoke night. Last time I was here it was really quiet but this time was the opposite. It was great to just relax and watch people take turns singing songs. Plus it was really impressive to hear so many people can sing so good. After that Friday night, it became our Friday night regular stop. Sometimes it's packed and sometimes it sort of quiet but either way we always have a great time there; even though I NEVER EVER SING. Well, I sort of never sing. I did once come here for my girlfriends birthday bash and once we drank enough my nerves settled down enough that I got on stage and sang. Unfortunately the first song I sang was when I walked up and took a microphone with a girl that was singing and I ended up being the background singer and dancer; but I thought I was with my friends and it was a stranger. It was really fun though. And I did sing one other time with Natasha and Lena; great time (and those girls can sing so good too). It's also nice that Coffee District has no problem if you come with your laptop and hang around for a long time doing whatever it is need to do. Glenn even likes to bring his to Karaoke night to catch up on his Yelp reviews. And beyond the coffee and beer they also have food. They have snack items like a hummus platter and they have all sort of simple morning bites like muffins and granola cups. And if you want something a bit more filling they make really good panini sandwiches. What are you waiting for, come to Coffee District for some great coffee, unique beers and enjoy this cozy, laid back place.

Awesome place for a study group or meeting with client. Great place to come by yourself and get work done. I'm my opinion one of the best coffee/ cafe type spots in the area. Alcoholic beverages so you can enjoy a drink while getting work done. Great for fun or productivity. Excellent environment and delicious coffee.

I had high expectations based on other reviews. The Coffee District is a great place to hang out with friends but the food is marginal & for a coffee shop the coffee is just ok. They say they source from local vendors but in fact their coffee is S&D from South Carolina, a random roaster that focuses on quantity and not quality. Come and hang out with friends, have a beer but don't plan on eating anything decent.

Laid back coffee shop by date and cool beer bar by night, Coffee District is a suplerative model that more should aspire to achieve. What makes them all the more inspriational is that not only do they offer both, but that they do it exceptionally well. During the early morning, there is nothing better than swinging by for a muffin to nosh on while drinking a piping hot cup of coffee, or my personal favorite, a vanilla chai latte. They have ample seating for students to pore over their latest reading assignment, and comfortable sofas to sit and catch up with an old friend. They have tables outside too, so when the weather id nice, customers can sit and enjoy their coffee while people watching. After the sun sets, this is the best beer bar scene in the area. Regaulrly offering special tap takeovers, their tap menu is quite impressive, and they have a number of drool-worthy bottles as well. They promote local breweries like the Funky Buddha and Due South, but also carry the further-reaching selections like the Bruery and Mikkeller. If beer isn't your thing, don't fret, they hav e wine as well. Furthermore, they have karaoke nights and other draws to provide entertainment. The only complaint I have is that the food menu is a bit lackluster. Although they have a couple of options, this isn't really somewhere I'd come to dine beyond grabbing a small bite. Otherwise though, go for what they do offer, and whether in the morning or at night, come thirsty!

Best beer selection in the county and of S. Florida. Great coffee! Chung the owner and his wife are great people and always mingling to help better manage their business.

I popped in there the other night to get some caffeine before heading back home. Since I wasn't hungry, I settled for the white mocha. It was good. The seven layer carrot cake looked tempting in the display. Maybe next time ;) There was a small crowd near midnight when I was there and it was extremely laid back. The karaoke was offered to whoever wanted to sing their hearts out. It's not that far away from Atlantic Avenue, so it's nice when you want to get away from the crowd to take a break with some coffee and a treat.

Based on the name alone, you expect just another coffee shop... but this is far from being another coffee shop. My discovery of Coffee District came about when I did a search online for the best places to get some unique and hard to find beers. Almost every top 10 list for the South Florida, Palm Beach County or Tri-County areas included Coffee District. At first I thought my eyes were deceiving me or that an error must've been made; but no, it's Spot-On.... WELCOME TO BEER (and coffee) HEAVEN.... CIGAR CITY TAP TAKEOVER (May 18 2013): My first visit welcomed me to the Cigar City Tap Takeover with a few friends. Very excited to check out the "Oatmeal Raison Cookie" that Cigar City was unveiling. Turns out our friend ahead of us got the last glass but things worked out well since I took a sip of it and frankly I didn't love it. Ended up ordering "Graham Cracker"... HUGE WIN. The place was busy but we managed to score a table and we enjoyed a good time with friends and a plate of hummus. COFFEE BREAK (June 22, 2013): After dinner one night in the area, we bumped into a friend and our paths led us back here to enjoy some quiet time to chat and enjoy some coffee. So far I had only heard oohs and ahhs over the beer selection and not much regarding the coffee; but the coffee was quite impressive. Tried the Vanilla Chai Latte and I loved it (strange considering I don't like vanilla and don't care much for chai, but for whatever reason I did like this combination). KARAOKE NIGHT (July 12, 2013): After what turned out to be a very stressful week, Friday arrived and decided to head over to Coffee District to peruse their beer selection and experiment with this or that. My previous visit was welcomed to a quite, unassuming coffee shop; but not on this night. Turns out Friday nights are Karaoke night and it gets loud, entertaining and a good time to be had. We managed to grab a table and I had brought my Mac to goof around on but we had plenty of live show entertainment to amuse us (though we don't do any singing for the better of man-kind). As a mater of fact, "Elvis" returned from the dead and stole the show. Yes, ELVIS was in the house. The Karaoke host called out the name for the next "wanna-be" singer and this guy enters the front door with full-on 1970s Elvis attire. Complete with the hip shakes and facial features "Elvis" was a HUGE SMASH. When the song ended, the Elvis impersonator walked out the door and left, and just like that "ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING" TASH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION (August 23, 2013): Came a bit before the birthday girl made her entrance and jumped into a bottle of Fantôme Boo! (always nice to get the jump on the guest of honor). Once the birthday girl and other friends arrived the Karaoke dragged all of our group (except me) to the stage. Highlight of the night was Natasha, Lena and Marisol doing their rendition of "Like A Virgin"... a song they chose to be "MORE WHOLESOME" since there were a few young kids in the house... WAY TO GO LADIES, WAY TO GO ! ! ! On this night we drank a lot (maybe even too much), but it was the night full of good times. GENERAL VISITS: Beside those special visits, I have been back a few times to try a variety of the beers and that selection is no lie; quite the beer list. Each time I visit I find more and more hard-to-find bottles (mid-August I found a variety Mikkeller, Jolly Pumpkin and the Bruery). And the prices seem fair (not cheap, but fair). I've also managed to try a couple more coffee concoctions and turns out their coffee is just as impressive as the beer. Last visit I fell in love with Iced Raspberry Mocha. And even managed to grab a meal here a couple times. Lite bites and salads are good and the Panini's are excellent but it's the coffee and beer that make Coffee District distinct. Definitely one of my favorite "GO TO" spots...

We walked in on a Sunday at 2:40 and we're delighted that we had made it there before they closed at 3pm. We only intended on staying for a quick latte and a beer. The guy at the counter looked disappointed, to say the very least, to see us. We were quickly informed that only a very limited menu was available to us since they were closing IN 20 MINUTES. The latte machine had already been cleaned so we were out of luck. What kind of establishment shuts down their main offering that long before closing time?? Why would I assume that I couldn't get a latte at Coffee District 20 minutes prior to their closing. We live directly across the street and will not be going back. I'll be sure to spread the word that this "friendly" little spot sure does have an attitude.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place... This is the only coffee shop besides starbucks when I order a drink it comes out perfect I don't need to add sugar or cream or anything it always comes out right the first time... You must try the toffee nut iced latte they have nice chunks of toffee at the bottom and it is amazing... As I am writing my review my mouth is watering I think I must stop in there today....

This used to my local place to grab my coffee in the mornings. Ordered a Vanilla Latte when they were not so busy and waited 30 minutes to get, when I asked the counter staff what happened, she said she forgot. Which is okay, but I was standing there and asking every 5 minutes. What a waste. The service has gone to crap in last year, still same owner so not sure why...either way ill spend my money elsewhere.

I like the concept of a coffee shop that serves craft beers. Thus it's more like a café. They had karaoke when I went. They have a pretty good size selection of popular craft beer. It is a nice place. I'd go again.

I literally go out of my way to stop and get coffee here. It's terrific. So many choices and the best thing is they have almond milk which is so great to those of us who are dairy free! Some of the greatest quality beans around and they also have a great selection of beers and several TVs as well.

Coffee and craft beer in the same place? Yes please. I didn't try the food but judging from overhearing people's response, it must be amazing. Definitely a great place to relax.

I stopped here a couple weeks ago on a Tuesday night to have drinks and catch up with a friend. Neither of us had ever been here, but were pleasantly surprised. They had a ton of beer on draft and bottles, even a cider on draft! There were only a few others there while we were at the bar, which was nice to have quiet drinks. The bartender was very friendly and never let our glasses dry up. We will definitely be back and will have to check it out when they have a live band.

By far the best chai latte I've ever had! So rich and frothy, even with almond milk. I wish they had a more original food menu, but with such great coffee, it's hard to truly care.

Pretty awesome place in the Pineapple which is also pretty awesome in itself! I've lived here for 7 years and it's become a very artsy, fashionable and trendy area coffee beer place is definitely something that fits right in but has a rock and roll vibe to it not like loud or anything I just mean cool rock music and a very indie type looking place. The chai latte is so good but no food really which would've been great to go with my drink

Best spiced iced chai latte ever!! Skip the overpriced Starbucks. Casual cool vibe. Great for meetings, reading a book, getting work done, etc. After work, perfect for grabbing a craft brew. Wish there were more places like this.

Best coffee I've had in South Florida. Appears they use 100% Arabica for their espresso, and this is one coffee spot that gets it right. They also have excellent Belgian beer selection with an eclectic mix of commercial brands and Trappist beers.

So happy to find this spot! I am a COFFEE ADDICT....... and man was this delicious. Fresh coffee with awesome flavors and add-ins... in fact, it was SO good that I didn't even need milk or sweetener! Cool atmosphere. Very, very friendly staff. Can't wait to go back

Great "hidden" gem of Delray beach. Off the beaten track from Atlantic ave but well worth the stroll north. Yummy snacks, tons of coffee options and yes.... Beer! Comfortable couches and seating to relax on and take a break from your daily grind. Make sure to pop on in next time you're around Delray beach.

Coffee shop with craft brews? YES! That is exactly what this java junky Craft Brewja needs in her life!! My new job takes me up in this area every week or two, and I have fallen in love with the Vanilla Chai Latte with almond milk here. Their chai is the best I have had so far, and the almond milk doesn't get that 'roasted' taste with it, although I did notice that taste with the cappuccino so it must have to do with the temperature difference in espresso vs tea. I also joined Marisol and Glenn up here one night for a Cigar City tap takeover that was pretty great. A good crowd, and some great brews on draft. Their selection of craft beer is always impressive and from what I understand, there are a lot of tap takeover nights. The only reason I don't give them more stars is that I wish their food menu was a little more to write home about. It's a little lack luster, but it's not bad so you can nibble on something with your beverage. I just wouldn't consider this place as a destination for food, so if you are really hungry grab a bite elsewhere first and then head over here to hang out with a beverage.

This place is such a hidden gem! It's slightly off the beaten path, and very quaint. It's interesting how it's a full-blown coffee shop (think a less commercial sbux) but also has the most impressive beer selection; both draft and bottled. The staff are friendly and very chill- no pressure and a great relaxing atmosphere w/ some nice classic rock playing. We will definitely be back when in the area, and are so glad we found this place. The only thing holding me back from 5 stars is the food. There really isn't anything to snack on with the beer. Make something delicious - and offer it!

I came here last night to meet up with some friends. They were gung ho about coming for the dogfish beer. I am not an avid beer drinking, so I do not really know the difference with each type of beers. I figured it must be awesome for them to drive all the way from Hollywood to Delray for beer. If you know about dogfish beer then you are probably laughing at me for not knowing. I totally understand the big deal now. When I came into the location, this place was packed. It was a mixture of people from 20s to late 40s maybe. They serve food, pastries, teas, coffees and beer. Since it was a work weeknight, I did not stay very long. I definitely want to come back to try their food, and hang out here a little longer. It has indoor and outdoor seating with a laid-back atmosphere. I will definitely come back here, and make this my low-key hang out place.

What a great little place! Stopped in here with my husband and some friends on a Saturday night around 8pm just to check it out. I'm a coffee lover, but as soon as I realized they also serve beer and wine, I opted for a refreshing glass of pinot grigio. The vibe here is laid back and casual. It's a "come as you are" type of place, is fairly small, with a bar, small tables, a few high tops, and a couch. It was great for the four of us to be able to hang out for awhile, sip our beverages, and actually be able to hear each other speak, as opposed to some spots in Delray with blaring music where you end up screaming just to have a conversation. We left around 9:30pm and by that point the place had gotten pretty busy, and a little louder, but still not obnoxious. I like that this place is off the ave, and a little out of the way so it attracts a crowd of people who make an effort to specifically visit this place, as opposed to those just passing by. We'll definitely be back, and next time I'm definitely grabbing some coffee!

maybe it's just me, but I thought their coffee and espresso had a burnt/bitter aftertaste. however, i will absolutely return and try something else because the atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming how a coffee shop should be.

Toffee nut latte? Yes, please!! Possibly one of my most favorite coffee drinks I have ever had the pleasure to sip on. Coffee District has a relaxed feel. The girl at the counter was patient with my friend and my questions and ensured we ordered a drink to our liking. They were made perfectly - not a watered down mess with our drinks being iced. What makes this place a bit different is the massive craft brew menu which they serve up. Events are held in the evenings here all the time revolving around the beers. They also have little pastries and sandwiches available for a bite to eat, but I didn't venture into those. A bit off the beaten path of Atlantic Ave, but totally worth it with all they have to offer.

When I lived in Delray Beach, I would spend many a balmy night sitting outside this place on one of the sidewalk tables sipping one of there many and often, harder to find craft beer offerings. The staff are all very pleasant and knowledgeable and the place is always clean. It's an interesting place in that it serves two very distinct (and often picky) groups of customers. By day, they provide high end coffee to people who likely know a thing or two about coffee and by night they offer exciting and tastefully curated beer menus to people who likely know a thing or two about beer. Any time I return to visit I always stop in.

Wow, tons of beers I can't find anywhere else. I bought some to go home with me. I love the layout, the friendly people and the food and drinks. What else can I say, they have a great selection of beers and great food. The Chicken panini was phenomenal, the turkey panini was amazing and the spinach artichoke dip was tasty. They serve it with crunchy tortilla chips but we got some pita on the side for an extra $2 (don't suggest it, the chips are better with it). Simply a great place to kick back, meet some new people and taste some rare beer choices.

Beer geek heaven ! Got a bottle of Mikkeller, besides great beer, there is good coffee, excellent carrot cake, nice local vibe, not touristy like Atlantic Ave.

A coffee and pastry shop, well off the Atlantic Avenue beaten path, that oh, you know, happens to serve a whole lot of beer. It was a bit jarring to see this clean, well-lit coffee shop with a bunch of taps, draft menu on the chalkboard, and a huge crowd inside and out enjoying a recent "IPA Tap Takeover." It probably wasn't the greatest night to try this place, as it was pretty crowded......I never really settled in and felt comfortable as I typically do with beer bars. That would be my only complaint, it felt awkward and a little uncomfortable due to the crowd, but that was probably just a function of the night on which I finally tried it. Extensive beer selection, with some interesting, beyond-the-pale special drafts. They also put on many brewery events, tap takeovers and the like. I'm surprised there aren't more places like this around.....if I was closer, I could come here for coffee in the morning, then a beer later on in the evening. Great concept.

Refused service because of laziness... Late night on our mini-vaction Boca, my wife was craving some coffee. Found this place on yelp being about 30 minutes away before closing. So I book it and make it in time with 7 minutes to spare, they had live music going on and the place was packed with people and their drinks. There are 3 gentlemen behind the counter as I go up to order a latte for my wife, and they just refused me service because they were closing in five minutes. I turn around to look at the live musician and all the people seated and ask him again and he simply replied no. If you have hours posted and a customer is there within those hours I believe they should be served. Maybe I'm just crazy.

This is a regular place for us to go and hang out with friends, acquaintances and everyone else at the bar. Friendly staff, great selection of beer, and the coffee is pretty good too! Most of the stuff in the bakery case is made in-house, and the options have expanded since the first time I wrote a review. The places flips from being primarily coffee to primarily beer in terms of clientele around 5-6pm when happy hour folks drop by after work. The paninis are pretty decent, and there are a few other things on the menu to satisfy a need for food while having a beer. Karaoke is a fun event, as the crowd that it draws is pretty mixed in both demographics and talent. There are some really good karaoke regulars and some really awful karaoke regulars, with most being somewhere in between, and you'll find a decent selection of song options.

This place is so laid back and comfortable! The coffee is delicious and worth the drive. Last week, I went there on Tuesday and Friday. Both days I was able to get a lot of work done and enjoyed my coffee and iced tea. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming. Friday the place got so busy! I can definitely see why people love coming here. You will have a chance to unwind and enjoy a delicious desert and coffee. They also have a nice selection of beer. I am happy we found this place!

Love this place for my morning double latte and their sinfully good blueberry scones which are gooey, sweet, chewy and not very "scones-like". Their chicken flatbread(?) sandwich is a very tasty lunch alternative. Although I've never been here at night I frequently walk my dogs by and often meet some uncommonly friendly people sitting by the few (3?) outdoor tables. They have poker-nights and apparently a good selection of brews on tap. Comfortable noise-level and a great spot to bring a laptop for a few hours of work or study. Friendly barista/barkeep/server is always happy to fill special or unusual orders.

  • Elizabeth Y.

This place is a good place to go study. Serves decent coffee and panini sandwiches. Other than that, it didn't really wow me. The service is friendly. Would return here as a spot to study and willing to visit during the evening hours to try out their beers.

Places like these are on every corner on every street in cities like San Fran, New York, Philly or Boston. The problem is Florida doesn't have cities like that, you know, most of our cities lack of culture, history, charm but thanks to Coffee District we get a taste of that now in Delray Beach. I've heard about this place for years so while I was in the area today I made sure I stopped by to check it out. I don't drink coffee and I'm not much of a tea sipper but I do love my beer and this place has plenty of it. The name may lead one to think it's predominately a coffee spot, but it's so much more than just that. They have a lovely section of taps ranging from Cigar City, St Bernardus, Dogfish, Stone, Terrapin to local favorite Due South. They also have what seems like 100+ beers in bottle forums as well. This was the last place in South Florida that still had Terrapin's Liquid Bliss, I just happened to buy the last ones. The prices are pretty good too, less than some of the more popular craft spots within the area. This isn't the place you go to for swag and to pick up some beautiful babies. It's quaint, quiet, intimate and full of great sipping options. Come alone and get your loner on, or come with a group and marinate off the ave. These places are so needed in SoFla and it's refreshing to see a place like Coffee District in our own backyard.

If I was going to a coffee shop downtown in Delray this would be it! They also have a great beer selection and munchies. Great spot and cool people to chat with. They have events throughout the week and I am not much for karaoke but I had a blast.

Note to small business owner: if you are rude to new customers they will not come back. Note number 2 to small business owner: if you are rude to new customers they will reported on yelp. I made the horrific mistake of discovering this place while I had a cup of coffee from somewhere else in my hand, and walked in. I was promptly asked to throw it away as long as I was on site. Wow. Hostile and defensive and was actually the owner. I would have bought a pastry and a cup of coffee to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere, however it's definitely in a sketchy part of town if you're there after dark. Be careful of what you walk in with , and also when you walk out, and you will walk out. I imagine if I came in with a backpack I probably would've had to leave it at the front desk.

Some of the most interesting and exotic beers around!! While their food menu is limited, their panini sandwiches are outstanding! Finally, know that you WILL meet some "characters" at The District-- what do you expect when the beer is like nothing you've ever seen!!

It has been quite a long time since I've been to Coffee District and I am glad that I came back. The environment is super chill with great coffee, fast internet, and an amazing craft beer selection... all with nice tunes on in the background. We forgot that the vanilla flavoring was too sweet for us so the Barista kindly remade our drinks at no cost and was really nice about it. I'll be back! :)

Paid my first visit to Coffee District. Nice spot. Nice service. Decent cappuccino. Croissant was ok, but had a "refrigerator" flavor. Free wifi was helpful. I'm gonna try again.

The people at Coffee District really care about getting your order right. I mistakenly ordered my drink with non sugar free syrup and could not drink it. Even though the mistake was mine (bonehead) they fixed it anyway. I would have gotten my head bitten off and spit back at me if I asked for that at Starbucks. If you want to have that neighborhood feel but get great food, drinks and service - this is the place to come daily. Its off the beaten path but still close enough to downtown Delray to stop in on the way to work.

This is a great little local coffee shop. The people who work here are always wonderful and the food and coffee is delicious. They also serve beer and wine if you are so inclined! My favorite is iced coffee with a shot of raspberry syrup, yum! Location is great since it's on my way back home from the gym, yay!

I go for the karaoke and one of the best beer selections in Delray--for real. Their list has both quantity and quality. The food is fine if you want something light between rounds of brew and your turn at the mic.

Coffee District is a true gift to this area. Sure, they offer tasty coffee drinks as the name suggests, but where this place really shines is in their wide selection of beers and general support of the craft beer community. Nestled in this comfy and unpretentious coffee shop is a bar with a rotating and always excellent selection of draft brews. They do a great job of always having an interesting and varied assortment on tap, so there's always something new to try. Plus, they have dozens and dozens of bottled brews as well. That alone would be enough to make this place worth the trip, but this place goes one step further and holds craft beer socials every Monday. Members of the craft brew community will meet up and bring hard-to-find or flat-out rare bottles of brew to share with everyone. The staff hangs out as well and everyone just has a really good time. I've met lots of great people during these events, and you really get a sense that this place becomes a little hub for beer enthusiasts every Monday. Awesome craft beer, great staff, great atmosphere and people all around. We need more places like this.

I had heard good things about Coffee District and everytime I pass by on those days when I-95 is just too jammed to tolerate, I think I really should stop. Today work brought me to Delray and I was in need of caffiene and a snack. My cappuccino and muffin were very good and the the girls working the counter offered friendly service. It does seem like there could be more seating though. I will have to check out other events and drinks recommended here.
